The most important part of any project, large or small, is listening to the client and developing the program to meet their needs. Whether it is a new home, an addition, or a whole house remodel, we look at the entire home, site, and neighborhood context in order to offer the best design options. We also consider the present and future needs of the clients, in order to create designs that will maximize the best use of space and future resale value of your home.

CMD assists the owners in selecting the appropriate contractor for the scope of work, and helps the owners in understanding and negotiating contracts with them. CMD oversees the construction to make sure that the work progresses according to the plans and that the contractor provides services as agreed.

We manage our firm’s projects from inception to completion. Where some architects will exit after providing plans, we stay with the project through completion to keep your project running smoothly.

Neighborhood Design

We take pride in creating designs that take into account neighborhood context and neighbors’ concerns. In every project, we find ways to meet the clients’ needs while minimizing the impact on neighbor’s light and views. In the past, neighbors of clients have hired CMD Architecture because of these considerations.

Green Architecture

Implementing green products has always been a leading principle at CMD Architecture before it became popular. This means specifying materials that are long-lasting, sustainably produced, locally available, and energy efficient. As an architect, it is my responsibility to bring green ideas into every facet of design.

Building Permit Experts

With decades of experience in working with various City agencies, we offer expertise in code interpretation and obtaining planning and building approval. CMD monitors the permit process for each project to make sure that permits are issued in a timely manner.
